Grand Prix Winner

The World Water Council in collaboration with the World Water Actions and Global Water Partnership organised the Water Action Contest at the 3rd World Water Forum, Kyoto, March 2003.

About 800 organizations from around the world presented written summaries of their actions/activities at the grassroots level towards the resolution of the world water issues.
150 organizations were invited to present these actions at poster presentations during the 3rd World Water Forum in Kyoto.
Ten organizations were selected to make a final Presentation.

The Grand Prix was shared by three organizations:

Gansu Research Institute for Water Conservancy, China
Voluntary Action for Development, Uganda.

The Technology Transfer Division of Bombas de Mecate, Nicaragua
