Total national production in the range of 3000 rope pumps. This number is higher if artesian production of lower quality is included. Export from Nicaragua to El Salvador slightly over 2000 pumps.

Annual production approximately 1000 year and increasing
Influence area is the whole El Salvadorian territory.
Rural water supply coverage that can be reached with the rope pump is at least 25%.
Number of handdug wells in the country is about 100.000.
